The Currumbin electorate is the southern most Gold Coast electorate. It runs from the New South Wales border and includes the suburbs of Coolangatta, Bilinga, Tugun, Currumbin, Palm Beach, Elanora, Currumbin and Tallebudgera Valleys.

The Currumbin Electorate was named after the Gold Coast suburb with the electorate name first used in 1986. The word Currumbin is an aboriginal name for a species of pine tree.
