With legacy items for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games currently being distributed, Member for Currumbin, Jann Stuckey MP is calling for Commonwealth Games mascot Borobi the koala to have a permanent home at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

“Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a fitting home for Borobi now the Commonwealth Games have finished and I hope GOLDOC will entrust him to us,” said Ms Stuckey.

“He has visited us numerous times these past two years and has made many furry and feathered friends as well as humans.

“Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary played a significant role in the lead up to and during the games as did our whole electorate.

“I cannot think of a better home for him. It would serve as a fond legacy of this major event.”

Ms Stuckey has put the call out to the Currumbin electorate asking locals to get on board and support the push for Borobi to have a home at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
