Currumbin Groups Score Over $160,000 in State Government funding

Currumbin MP Jann Stuckey has congratulated nine local organisations and groups for recently securing over $160,000 in State Government funding.

“The Newman Government has provided over $10 million across Queensland through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit fund.

“Here in Currumbin we have had nine successful organisations benefit from this. These include:
• Gecko-Gold Coast & Hinterland Environment Council Association Inc, $15,000, towards upgrades to building
• Currumbin Gymnastics Committee, $13,841, for the purchase of gymnastics equipment
• Elanora State School P&C, $31,351, for the purchase of furniture and resources
• St Vincent De Paul Society Queensland (Tugun Centre), $14,070, for the purchase of solar system
• St Augustine’s Outside School Hours Care, $22,262, towards upgrade of building and the purchase of equipment
• Goodstart Tallebudgera Central, $31,800, for the upgrade of playground facilities
• Lions Club of Gold Coast, Tallebudgera Inc, $3,432, for the purchase of trailer and catering equipment
• Creche & Kindergarten Elanora Community Kindergarten, $22,976, for the purchase of resources and washing machine
• Currumbin Eagles Junior Rugby League Football Club Inc, $5,436, solar sport and community grant group

“Congratulations to all nine clubs who are most deserving of this funding, enabling them to continue to improve their services in order to benefit the local community.
