Jann Stuckey MP, State Member for Currumbin, has called on the local community to nominate their organisations for the Tugun Community Bank® ranch Sponsorships and Grants program.

“Every year the Tugun Community Bank allows local organisations to apply for funding allocated from the income generated by the bank,” Ms Stuckey said.

“I strongly encourage all organisations to put forward an application and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity for financial and community support.

Chairperson of the Tugun Community Bank®, Ms Wendy Handley, said that their aim is to promote the Community Bank® as a good corporate citizen by supporting local events and initiatives that enhance the community.

“I am proud to say that our bank has supported a great many local projects and groups already this year including the Tugun SLSC, Bleach, the Palm Beach Youth Music Venture and the Alley Board riders,” Ms Handley said.

Ms Stuckey said the bank is to be acknowledged and thanked for the support they provide to the community.

“The Branch has generated almost $175 000 of income that has gone back into community initiatives in the past nine years,” Ms Stuckey said.

“All organisations should strongly consider the benefits of applying for funding as it can provide invaluable support and assistance for your future endeavours.
