Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey MP said the public review period for The Queensland Plan working draft, the state’s 30-year vision, will end this Friday 7 March.

“This is a once in a generation opportunity for every Queenslander to have their say about our state’s future,” Ms Stuckey said.

The Queensland Plan will set our roadmap for the future so it’s really important that we receive input from as many people as possible.

“A number of important considerations have surfaced during the current review period, which highlights the importance of adding your voice to the discussion.”

Just last week a series of online discussion forums called ‘webjams’ were held to seek further input on the working draft and road test alternative targets proposed by Queenslanders.

Hundreds of Queenslanders actively engaged with the state’s leading industry and academic experts, providing comments and exchanging opinions about key areas from the working draft.

“Although it is difficult to predict what the future holds – it’s clear there are a number of issues that will shape the way our communities evolve,” Ms Stuckey said.

“Whether your focus is on building a small business, protecting the environment or educating the next generation, we want to hear from you.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to make your feedback count.”

Comments made by Queenslanders during the webjams, along with the survey feedback submitted, will inform the development of the final version of The Queensland Plan.
