Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey congratulated the Gold Coast’s business community on another year of hard work and success at this year’s Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards.

Ms Stuckey said the highlight of the awards was the induction of John Longhurst into the Business Hall of Fame.

“The Hall of Fame lists some of the country’s most successful business people. It is testament to the Gold Coast’s strong business community and Mr Longhurst is a great addition to this prestigious roll call,” Ms Stuckey said.

“Our government understands that small business has been doing it tough and the awards are a celebration of the industry’s efforts and achievements.

“The Gold Coast has always been home to small businesses that pride themselves on superior customer service and innovation.
