Brisbane to host Australia’s first Cai Guo-Qiang exhibition

Brisbane will be the first city in Australia to host the inaugural solo exhibition of leading international contemporary artist, Cai Guo-Qiang, at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). 

Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Minister Jann Stuckey said it was a real coup for Brisbane to host the event which will run from 23 November 2013.

Construction of the new $41 million Gold Coast Aquatic Centre redevelopment project officially began today with the turning of the first sod for the new 50 metre competition pool by Minister for the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey and Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate.
