Member for Currumbin, Jann Stuckey MP congratulated the staff and volunteers at the Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre (PBNC) on reaching the significant milestone of twenty-five years’ service to our community.

“Twenty-five years ago PBNC was established to provide a family and individual support service and over the years it has developed into a widely encompassing facility for all areas of the community,” Ms Stuckey said.

“From financial counselling to well-being classes and parenting workshops, PBNC has cemented its place over the years as an invaluable service on the southern Gold Coast helping over 4,000 residents a year.

“On behalf of the community I would like to thank the dedicated staff and volunteers who go above and beyond in providing caring, practical assistance.

Centre Co-ordinator Samantha Way said PBNC are a local charity that directly support vulnerable people in the area.

“PBNC has no CEO, middle management or corporate charity agenda. Out of every funding dollar, 88c goes directly to benefitting consumers and that’s because the community takes ownership and supports our work through our volunteer engagement program,” Ms Way said.

“I would encourage residents to visit the centre and stay informed of the services they offer which may be of benefit to you and your family,” Ms Stuckey said.
