Queensland names its best tourism operators

The Newman Government has congratulated the winners of this year’s prestigious Queensland Tourism Awards.

Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey said the awards provide recognition for the outstanding contribution the tourism industry makes to the State.

“Tourism is one of the four pillars of our economy providing jobs for more than 120,000 Queenslanders,” Ms Stuckey said.

“This year’s winners have set a new standard in industry excellence and should be proud of their achievements.

“Our Government is committed to reinvigorating tourism in Queensland to attract more visitors and we will work in partnership with the industry to do this.

“I would like to congratulate all of the award winners as well as the Queensland Tourism Industry Council for its dedication to tourism in this State.”
