LNP Shadow Minister for Tourism Jann Stuckey has urged Queenslanders to get behind our ailing tourism industry and holiday locally this Easter.

“Queenslanders know that we have done it tough this summer and we need to support local tourism facilities these Easter holidays,” Ms Stuckey said.

“As the Member for Currumbin and resident of the beautiful Gold Coast, I have seen first-hand the impact of the tourism downturn.

“From Cairns to Coolangatta and from Brisbane to Boulia, local businesses could do with the visitors …what better way to support Queensland’s recovery than holiday at home in our great State.

“Queensland has a vast choice of stunning destinations waiting to be discovered and this Easter holiday break is the perfect time to do just that.

“Queensland’s tourism industry has put out the welcome mat, so let’s visit and enjoy the hospitality.” Ms Stuckey said.
