Jann Stuckey was born in Adelaide, and moved with her family to Currumbin on the Gold Coast in 1987.

Training as a registered nurse with a diploma from Adelaide Children’s Hospital in 1976, Jann is married to Richard with two adult children.

Prior to her election in 2004 Jann ran a successful Communications Consultancy specialising in professional development, speaker coaching and conflict resolution.

Soon after her election as the Member for Currumbin Jann was appointed as Shadow Minister for Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development.  Re-elected in the 2006 State election, Jann was appointed as Shadow Minister for Child Safety, Disability Services and Mental Health Policy. Jann has held a number of Shadow Ministries including Child Safety and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Community Development, Public Works and Information & Communication Technology and most recently Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business.

Jann Stuckey is a hard-working person whose dedicated efforts ensure that goals are achieved for Currumbin.

Regularly out and about in the electorate meeting with residents and identifying the issues of most concern to them, Jann is happy to attend local meetings to work through issues with constituents.

A passionate believer of thorough community consultation Jann has, over many years, earned the reputation of being a strong community advocate on a range of important issues at both a local and a State level.
